So - many of you are coming to Australia to escape a northern hemisphere winter in February, no? Well, here’s the run down on what you can expect from the locations we will visit (no guarantees of course!):

Sydney (including the Hunter Valley), Albury & Melbourne - generally hot, dry and definitely beach weather (can get as hot as 40°C though is likely to be between 30-35°C. Melbourne has occasionally been referred to as a city of ‘4 seasons in one day’ however in February this does not generally apply and it is often the hottest city in Australia at this time!

Dinner Plain - should be hot, dry and in the range of 20-26°C. Visitors should bring sturdy walking shoes. Be aware that temperatures can plummet unexpectedly at any time of the year in the mountains and this can include snow (!) however in February this is very unlikely. Moral of the story is that it would pay to bring a change of warmer clothes just to be safe!
